New Delhi: Over the worsening health condition of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the Bharatiya Janata Party has cancelled all meetings and programmes which were scheduled on Thursday.
After enquiring about the BJP stalwart’s health condition, the party took the decision to cancel all meetings. A scheme, which was about to be unveiled in Vijaywada on Thursday, stands cancelled as of now.
As per the latest health bulletin published by the AIIMS at around 10:15 pm, Vajpayee’s condition has deteriorated. The statement from AIIMS is as follows:
Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been admitted for the last 9 weeks at AIIMS. Unfortunately his condition has worsened over the last 24 hours. His condition is critical and he is on life support system: AIIMS
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in the evening to enquire about the condition of the ailing former PM. He was admitted in AIIMS on June 11 for kidney and urinary tract infection. He is also suffering from low urine output. His condition has worsened in the last 24 hours.
Apart from the PM, Union Textiles Minister Smriti Irani, Home Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP national president Amit Shah also visited AIIMS.
