Mumbai: The Shiv Sena, which is also the coalition partner of NDA at the Centre, on Sunday, blamed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the alliance defeat in Bihar Assembly election.
Addressing the reporter in Mumbai senior party leader Sanjay Raut said the PM should not have used the language that he did while campaigning for Bihar poll.
Describing Nitish Kumar, who is all set to return as Bihar CM, as a “political hero”, Raut said,”This is a big win for Nitish Kumar. He has emerged as a political hero.” “PM should have spoken gracefully during his campaign in Bihar.”
“BJP must accept that Bihar results are Modi’s responsibility. We congratulate Nitish Kumar. This result will be a turning point in the country’s political future,” he added.
Delivering a severe blow to the BJP alliance in Bihar Nitish Kumar led Mahagatbandhan has won 161 seats while the BJP led coalition managed to secure only 74 seats out of a total of 243 seats.
