Bihar CM Jitan Manjhi in a showdown with JD(U) leadership

New Delhi: Heading for a showdown with the JD(U) leadership, Bihar Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has termed the proposed meeting of the JD(U) legislature party tomorrow as ‘Unauthorised’. Manjhi has instead called a Legislature Party meeting in his capacity as Leader of the House on February 20 at his official residence.

JD(U) president Sharad Yadav has called a Legislature Party meeting tomorrow. Manjhi said that right to call Legislature Party meeting rests with him as he is the leader of the Legislature party. JD(U) General Secretary K C Tyagi described the Legislature Party meeting called by the party President as “valid”. He said that according to JD(U) constitution, party President has the power to call a meeting of Legislature Party.
