VHP calls 12 hour strike on Monday


Kolkata: Protesting the governments crack down on VHP activist on Sunday, the party has called a 12 hour state wide strike on Monday. The Bhartiya Janata party has extended support to the strike.
Police arrested more than 1000 workers of the party after it defied Sec-144 clamped by the government and held a meeting at Raiganj on Sunday. VHP chief Praveen Togadia was earlier barred entry in the state by Mamata Government siting communal tension in the state.
