Bharati’s Husband Not Appeared In Netaji Nagar PS After Being Summoned

Kolkata: After snubbing Bhavani Bhavan’s summons, Ex-IPS Bharati Ghosh’s husband MAV Raju remained absent in Netaji Nagar police station on Friday. Based on the complaint filed by him against CID officers, Raju was invited at the Netaji Nagar police station on Friday. But he informed through e-mail that due to severe illness he failed to present there. He has asked for time nearly a week.

On January 5th Raju complained against seven CID officers, including ADG and DIG, at Netaji Nagar Police Station. He alleged that CID has conducted search operations without any search warrant and making him a captive in his Naktala house.

On this day he was requested to appear at the Netaji Nagar police station based on his own complaint against those CID officials. Earlier CID had summoned him in Bhavani Bhavan on allegation of an extortion case. But in that case Raju had also failed to present there stating that he was ill.
