BJP is trying all ends out to assume power in the State in the upcoming Assembly polls, but the RSS leaders seem to be in an indomitable state when it comes to creating controversies. Starting from ‘Ghar Wapsi’ programme where nearly 1,200 people Christians and Muslims were  re-converted to Hinduism by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, to the remarks of RSS Chief questioning the service of Mother Teresa towards the poor.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh seems to be now crossing its all limits with the Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat lashing out at Mother Teresa after more than 17 years of her death. Saying that the Nobel laureate, who had spent her entire life for the service of the poor and the disabled, had done for the sake of converting them to Christianity.

Mother Teresa is considered as an idol even after many years of her death. She was the Founder of The Missionaries of Charity, the organization through which she had spread the message of love for the unloved and provide support for the ones who are denied of it.

Mohan Bhagwat’s attack on mother Teresa has drawn criticism from all ends, though the RSS has come out in support of its chief. Newly sworn-in Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has even asked the RSS at least to spare a noble soul like Mother Teresa, saying that he had seen her from close quarters while working with her and the allegations doesn’t make any sense.

Bhagwat’s comment comes on close heels of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s declaration that his Government would ensure complete freedom of faith and provide everyone the undeniable right to retain or adopt any religion of his or her own choice without any coercion or influence.

The incident is being seen an attempt to distort the history by the political circles and lighting up the communal flames in the state in the name of religion.

The date of the Municipal elections is closing up in the state. BJP, which is gearing up to play a bigger political game with its increasing power, may have to suffer from an political uneasiness with its oppositions TMC lashing out at the Saffron Brigade for the insult to ‘Mother’.
