Bengal’s Future Lies With The ‘Jote’: Adhir

Kolkata: The Congress party organized a rally on Saturday in protest to the price hike in several commodities in the state.

The rally was headed by state Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Choudhury at Mayo road. CPM MLA Tanmay Bhattacharya also attended the rally hinting at the continuing alliance in Bengal.

Adhir Ranjan Choudhury said, “Alliance is the future of Bengal.” Adhir Ranjan lashed out at the Bengal government due to the rising prices of several commodities. He said that the common citizens are facing great difficulties while purchasing goods from the market. He criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. He said that before the Bengal assembly elections, Mamata Banerjee had made several promises, but did not keep any.

Adhir Ranjan taunted Mamata Banerjee led government’s several projects in Bengal. He criticized the giving away of free cycles, rice at Rs. 2 per kg and many. But the chief minister failed to keep any of the promises she made.

Adhir Ranjan Choudhury accused Mamata Banerjee of having links with Narendra Modi. He said that Modi and ‘Didi’ are following the same path, speaking the same language and making similar gestures. He said that when he asked several buyers, they have complained of the price hikes. Those who are selling and those buying, all are facing the same problem.

Adhir Ranjan Choudhury confirmed that their alliance with CPM will continue as it is the future of West Bengal. He alleged that the Trinamool Congress Party has not protested against any of the corruptions that are going on in Bengal. He alleged that TMC did not protest because they presumed that there is no profit in protesting post elections. He said that Mamata Banerjee  has forgotten everything after the elections got over.

He taunted that Mamata Banerjee had raised a problem that her government is paying a loan of Rs. 50000 thousand crore. He accused her that though she said that she has brought the Bengal to its apex position, but has failed actually as she has doomed Bengal in the last 5 years. He asked the Bengal citizens to rethink about whom they have brought in power, who never thinks about Bengal. He accused Mamata of hiding her loan issue before the elections.  He accused her of bankrupting Bengal and then saying that she has brought Bengal to its apex position.
