Bengal’s Brave Heart Martyred In Chhattisgarh Mao Attack


Behrampore: Matiur Rahman (48) of Murshidabad has died in Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh. He is a resident of Bokhara Southpara village under Sagardighi police station. On Saturday night the news came to light. The villagers are shocked to hear the death of Jawan Matiur.

According to the family, Matiur had joined the CRPF in the interest of the family. No one can suddenly accept his death. His career started in 1988. Now he has a daughter, a son, a wife, an old mother and two brothers. A year ago, Matiur Rahman received posting in Chhattisgarh.

Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh has claimed lives of 4 CRPF jawans while 2 more were injured. The incident took place in Awapalli. B company of CRPF’s 168 battalion was ambushed by Maoists who triggered an IED blast which overturned and destroyed the vehicle carrying the jawans.
