Bengal Youth Succumbs to Dengue in Delhi


Maldah: The onslaught of the deadly dengue in Delhi has claimed the life of a youth from West Bengal. As per reports, Sheikh Shakirul Sher aged (30) went to Delhi for a livelihood with five others from Maldah’s Manichak area.

Sheikh got affected with dengue and was admitted to a hospital in Delhi where he died of the disease on September 15. His four companions too got infected and are currently under treatment.

Sheikh’s body will be brought to his ancestral home in Maldah on Thursday. The incident has left a shadow of sorrow on the area. The family has asked for financial assistance from the state government as the deceased was the sole bread earner of the family.
