Dharamsala: The ‘Bengal’ team won a match against the ‘Railways’ team on Sunday at Ranji Trophy by 43 runs.
The Bengal team reached a strong position with six points after winning against Railways in Ranji Trophy. The Bengal team needed five wickets to win against Railways. The Bengal team won by 43 runs against Railways at Ranji Trophy and the Railways lost all the wickets for 271 runs at second innings.
Bengal’s bowler Ashok Dinda’s shoulder injury had previously put the team in doubts. But Dinda proved all wrong. He played very well as he picked up five wickets and led Bengal to win the match. Dinda was awarded the ‘Man of the Match’ title for taking ten wickets in the two innings.
Railways’ two batsmen, Karna Sharma and Mahesh Rawaz, were not out after the end of the match on Saturday. But on Sunday, Dinda took Rawaz’s wicket at 38 runs. Sharma is not out with 54 runs. Post this; none of the batsmen of Railways could score well.
