Bengal occupies 1st position in ‘Jan Dhan Yojna’


Kolkata: Bengal has stood first in opening of bank accounts under Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojna. Under this scheme 36 lakh 32 thousand 914 accounts have been opened till now. Throughout the country accounts are being opened under this scheme in every city and every village. West Bengal has left every state behind and has secured the top position. It has been seen that the interest of village people is much more in opening accounts than the urban people. In the village areas more than 20 lakh accounts have been opened.
