Kolkata: Concerned over rising price, West Bengal government has decided to sell potatoes at Rs 14 per kg starting in a day. Jyoti potatos are currently selling at Rs 22 in the open market and that’s why government has decided to sell at the controlled price.
The decision was taken today in a review meeting headed by CM Mamata Banerjee. The government will also evaluate the prices of vegetables and food grains.
At the meeting Mamata Banerjee put stress on increasing the production of food grains and fish in the state in a planed manner.
