Bengal Govt Sets Up Judicial School At New Town


Kolkata: The West Bengal Judicial School was inaugurated on Saturday at Newtown by the State Minister in Charge of the Judiciary Department.

The aim of the School would be to act as a training and research centre for all the students, lawyers and even judges and anybody connected to the legal profession.

The Bengal Government has already taken up steps like video conferencing facility in the eight of the State’s correctional homes in order to speed up the legal processes. Three new district courts has also been set up, besides spending Rs 100 crore for the development in the judiciary infrastructure.
