Bengal Fisherman Association Stood Beside Kerala


Tamluk: Everyone extended their hand to help the flood hit Keralites. Students and various social service organization have everyone arranged the funds to support Kerala.But this time a fishermen organization have come forward to help the Keralites.

Digha Fisherman and Fish Traders Association has come down to the street to raise the funds. As per organization sources, it is said that they have collected nearly Rs1.5 lakh till Wednesday.

Financial help was sought from the fishermen engaged fish trading and other businessmen came to the fish market in the morning. In response to their request, about Rs. 50,000 was collected from the Digha Mohana wholesale fish market.

Apart from this, more than Rs. 1 lakh has been given to the flood victims from Digha Shankarpur Fisherman and Fish Traders Association. The organization has been informed that the collection of one and a half million rupees will be donated to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in Kerala.
