Kolkata: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will felicitate toppers of different examinations on Monday. Toppers of Madhyamik, Higher Secondary, ICSE, ISC, CBSE and WBJEE examinations will be receiving prizes from the Chief Minister.
Mamata Banerjee has congratulated the SC and ST examinees of the Joint Entrance examination this year for their success with the help of government-sponsored counselling centres all over the state.
In a Facebook post, Mamata Banerjee writes: “The unique initiative of our government to provide high-end professional coaching to SC/ST students for engineering and medical entrance examinations have yielded great results.”
The felicitate programme has been organised at Netaji Indoor Stadium and the felicitation programme is going to start from 4.30 pm. Around 250 students will be felicitated on Monday. Their parents will also be present during the felicitation programme. Last year, the programme was organised at Uttirnya. This time it has been given a bigger shape and is going to take place in Netaji Indoor Stadium.
The West Bengal Chief Minister further adds that, “Our government is already taking steps to expand such specialized coaching arrangement so that more and more students can benefit from it and get placed in professional courses.”
Banerjee has congratulated scheduled caste and scheduled tribe students who took coaching the state the professional coaching classes provided the Bengal government and qualified in JEE and NEET.
Bengal government’s support to SC/ST students has reaped results engineering in this year JEE and in NEET, the medical entrance examinations.
She congratulated students who excelled in the Higher Secondary Examination (Uccha Madhyamik) results of which were declared on Friday.
In a tweet, Banerjee said, “Congratulations to all students who excelled and those who passed the Higher Secondary Examination. Best wishes for all your future endeavours. Good wishes to your teachers and families”.
Expressing happiness, Mamata Banerjee congratulated students, who have excelled and passed the Madhyamik examinations. she had assured all sorts of support to the students to carry on with their higher studies.
