Kolkata: In an effort to stitch together an anti-BJP alliance across the country before 2019 Lok Sabha elections, West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee likely to visit Lucknow just after the day of her Chennai visit.
West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is hell-bent on taking the BJP bull by its horn. The West Bengal Chief Minister was in New Delhi for four days where she met leaders of 18 political parties.NCP chief Sharad Pawar, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, JD-S chief HD Deve Gowda, apart from leaders from the RJD, TDP and TRS.
She will visit Chennai for two days, 10th and 11th April.She is likely to meet M. Karunanidhi. After that she also plans to meet former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav. She is said to be sharing a bond with him.
Mamata Banerjee in her four day Delhi visit, she also met Shiv Sena leaders. Banerjee visited Parliament where she met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, Shiv Sena parliamentarian Sanjay Raut and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) member of Parliament Misa Bharti.
“We want all opposition parties to work together. We should help the strongest opposition party in a state fight the BJP.
