CM Mamata Banerjee To Leave For Germany Today


Rome: Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who is on a visit to Italy and Germany will be leaving for Germany tonight. The Chief Minister will be accompanied by State Finance and Industries Minister Dr Amit Mitra and a 29-member business delegation.

State Finance Minister Dr Amit Mitra said, “Two leading German chambers of commerce — BVMW and the Association of German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK) — have invited her”.

The business delegation with the CM will include Harshvardhan Neotia, chairman of Ambuja-Neotia Group; Sanjiv Goenka, chairman of R P-Sanjiv Goenka Group; Chandra Kumar Dhanuka, executive chairman of Dhunseri Group of Industries and several other captains of industry.

This will be the first business trip of Mamata Banerjee in her second term as the Bengal Chief Minister.
