West Midnapore: The rail blockade of Majhimarowa community has paralyzed the train service on Monday. Dhauli express is standing at Belda station of West Midnapore. Train Service has been disrupted. Passengers crowd gradually increasing.
The agitators have set fire in the station area and a bike of a rail staff. Power supply has ceased in the station area due to protests.Consequently, the situation has turned violent in the station area after 15 hours of blockade. Allegedly, group of miscreants vandalised the belongings of the rail station. Till now, the railway authority could not say anything which can change the situation. RPF have been deployed in the area to take the control of the agitated situation.
Entire train service in South-Eastern railway has been affected due to the rail blockade. Many South India bound trains have been cancelled. As the Howrah bound trains could not reach the station, so the trains standing on Howrah could not start. New Complex of Howrah Station mostly in use for the distance trains. the passengers have complained that rail authority did not show any immediacy to quit the blockade.
Following are the trains that have been cancelled – Howrah-Chennai Coromondal Express, Howrah Chennai Mail, Howrah Ahmedabad Express, Howrah-Hatiya Express, Howrah-Puri express, Howrah-Pune Azadhind Express, Howrah- Mumbai Geetanjali Express, Howrah-Kanyakumari express, Gyaneswari Express and many more.
