Kolkata: Third police complaint filed in Bolpur, Sinthi and Kalighat against BJP’s Yogesh who offered Rs 11 lakhs for WB CM’s head.

The state CID is likely to send a team to Aligarh to try and arrest Mr Varshney, who had on camera declared a “bounty of Rs. 11 lakh” for Ms Banerjee.

Manjushree Majumdar, Trinamool Congress counsellor of ward no 83 in the Kalighat area, where the Chief Minister resides, lodged a complaint with the Kalighat Police Station against Varshney, a senior officer of the Force said.

Yogesh Varshney, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha in Aligarh on Wednesday offered a bounty of Rs 11 lakh for TMC chief Banerjee’s head after the police in West Bengal used batons to disperse a rally raising slogans in praise of Lord Rama on Hanuman Jayanti.
“Mamata Banerjee never allows Saraswati Puja, fairs during Ram Navami and during Hanuman Jayanti procession, people were lathi charged and brutally beaten up. She organizes Iftar party and always supports Muslims,” he added.

His reaction comes in the backdrop of the lathicharge in West Bengal’s Birbhum during a rally on Hanuman Jayanti. Suri police on Sunday warned the Bir Hanuman Jayanti organizers that it would not allow holding of any rally or meeting at Suri on Tuesday.
