‘Beating the Retreat’ promises to be ‘Satya Sundaro’

New Delhi: Adding some balm to the hurt minds, our very own Bard, Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Anandoloke Mangalaloke’ will be played at Delhi during ‘Beating the Retreat’ programme on Thursday. After the Bengal tableaux was rejected at the Republic Day parade, the playing of a Rabindrasangeet at the Vijaychowk is somewhat a consolation to Bengal from the Centre.

The jawans from Bengal will be present at the occasion to represent Bengal on the National platform. The progamme was started in 1950. Since then, it is being celebrated to embark the pause in war.

The programme is of no less stature than that of the R Day parade. It sets in a feeling of passionate patriotism among all Indians.
