BCCI’s Anti Corruption Unit Meets Hasin Jahan In Kolkata


Kolkata: Mohammed Shami will know his immediate future with the team India in a week’s time as anti-corruption chief Neeraj Kumar investigates allegations of corruption made by Shami’s wife, and he will file a report in a week.

BCCI’s anti corruption team lead of 4 members are in the city for further investigation. Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan has alleged that the Indian pace-bowler has taken money from a Pakistani woman named Alishba at the insistence of an England-based businessman called Mohammad bhai. The anti corruption team has met with Hasin Jahan in Lalbazar.

The allegations made by Shami’s wife are related to domestic violence, mental and physical torture as well as match-fixing. Since the story broke out, the BCCI has did not include Shami in the annual contracts’ list. He supposed to feature in the A category where his annual salary was Rs 5 crores. Once the investigation is completed and the report is out, Shami’s future with the Indian cricket team will be clear.

After a difficult week, the luck seems to have finally shined on the Bengal bowler. According to reports in Mid-Day Shami will get a green signal to play for Delhi Daredevils in the forthcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) despite his central contract being put on hold.
