Barasat’s Rana designs Modi’s Digital India


Barasat: He wanted to be a Chartered Accountant. But the untimely death of his father changed all the calculations of life for Rana Bhowmick. Situation forced him to complete his studies from Barasat in a mediocre school and graduate from an evening college in the field of commerce. But this Rana Bhowmick, who has been a fighter from a very early age, has been the shaper of one of the most important campaigns of Modi government in the times. Rana has been the designer of the Digital India Logo which was launched by Narendra Modi at the Indira Gandhi Auditorium in New Delhi on Wednesday. In fact, the Prime Minister had himself felicitated Rana on his contribution to the Digital India campaign.

Rana had his interest for cartooning and animation from a very early age.It is that urge that has taken Rana to a National fame, says his relatives. Rana has himself said to a bengali daily that it is cartooning that has been his passion and since 2010.He has been working for a graphics designing in Delhi since 2010. At the moment, he is in a respectable designation of a company.

Rana has been awarded a sum of Rs 50,00 from Modi for his contribution to the Digital India campaign. In his facebook group, ‘Amar shahar Barasat’, Rana has been flooded with congratulatory messages for acheiving this feat.
