Bankura Bus Workers Come Out In Support Of Flood-Hit Kerala


Bankura: The CITU supported union of Bankura has lent out their support to the
flood-hit Kerala where more that 300 people have died.

Money for relief fund was collected by the Bankura district bus Labourers’ Union
(CITU) on Sunday at the Bankura’s Govind Nagar bus stand. The bus workers, common
people, bus passengers and businessmen of the area have contributed to the relief

CITU leader Kinkar Poshak, Pratip Mukherjee, the district general secretary of the
Bus workers’ union was also present.

CITU leader Pratip Mukherjee said that, “Lakhs of people are in trouble in Kerala.
Sevral have died too whereas thousands of people are homeless. The homes are in
ruins now. Rail and road ways are completely damaged. So we must stand by the

The money collected will be deposited in the Chief Ministers’ Relief Fund.
