Bandipora Encounter: 26/11 Attack Mastermind’s Nephew Killed

Srinagar: A massive blow to the Lashkar-e-Taiba, after it gunned down Usman Jhangi, the nephew of Lashkar chief Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi’s in a fierce gun battle in Jammu and Kashmir’s Bandipora on Saturday.

Lakhvi is the alleged mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks in 2008. Along with Jhangi, five other terrorists were also killed in the encounter. Six weapons have also been recovered from the terrorists, sources said.

One IAF Garud personnel has lost his life, and two Army personnel have been injured in the encounter, reports news agency ANI. The encounter is currently underway.
