Kolkata: With the Industrial strike called by the left trade unions taking a nasty turn throughout Bengal, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the strike culture has turned into a bad habit of the CPI (M). Addressing a press conference at Nabanna she said that this habit needs to be changed.

Mamata has claimed the Industry strike to be a total failure. She said, “On any other day the attendance in Government offices is 91 percent, but on Wednesday it was 93 percent.” She claimed that in the districts it was 97 percent. She gave a message to the opposition by saying that she wants to end the Bandh culture.

She claimed that all the industries including the tea gardens and the jute mills were open and the TMC supporters have acted sensibly. She even termed the politics of CPI(M) is unpolitical as well as unethical.

Various allegations of violence have been raised against the TMC during the All-India strike called by the trade unions. She has rubbished all the allegations against her party.
