Bali Station Turn Battlefield For Asking Receipt Of Fine


Howrah: Bali station turn battlefield on Thursday after GRP fined for crossing rail-path illegally or urinating in rail premises. The situation is getting worst when a passenger asked for fine slip. Passengers blocked the rail station and train services disrupted due to this protest. Many down trains are stopped at Bandel station.

Railway officials said, the RPF and GRP officials had prosecuted some daily passengers for littering and urinating on train tracks  a punishable offence that amounts Rs 500 fine and even a night’s jail stay  around Bally station on Thursday evening.

This angered other daily passengers who got into an argument with RPF and GRP personnel and created a ruckus at the station premises, first demonstrating outside the office of the station master and GRP office and then resorting to a blockade as they sat on rail tracks obstructing up and down train movement,

RPF and GRP reached the spot to tackle the situation but the situation turned worst. On other hand, Nischinda Police also fell in the face of Violent mob. The police also alleged that the stones were thrown from violent mob and they lathi charged to handle the situation at last.
