Kolkata: TMC allegedly blamed BJP for the violence is now in trouble as their party member’s name emerges in Baduria case. Police have arrested a local TMC leader from Baduria and three others based on the complaint of spreading violence in Baduria. On Friday the accused were produced at the Basirhat Court and sent for four days police custody.
Police, repotedly said that accused Mejkatur Rahman is the leader of ruling party TMC who is also the leader of Toto Union of the local area; police has also arrested his two aides Esroj Hasan and Siraj-ul Islam as these persons have emerged in the Baduria violence case. The accused were absconding after the Baduria incident. On Thursday night police arrested them from Kholapata area in Basirhat .
Earlier, 2nd July a communal violence took place due to a facebook post by Souvik Sarkar of Baduria area, the clash spread like a wild fire areas in vicinity to Basirhat,Baduria, Rudrapur and etc, as the post harmed the sentiments of a particular community. Which led to the clash between two communities and the house of Souvik Sarkar was also set ablaze. Many shops were vandalized the clash continued for around fifteen days. Situation was worse, armies were deployed to control the situation of Baduria then. The internet services wre closed for a long time in the affected areas of Basirhat. After fifteen day the situation wasb undercontrol. Presently, the situation of Baduria is better than before.
