Baba In Trouble: Patanjali’s Ad Copied 6 Ballygunge Place’s Tagline


Kolkata: Baba Ramdev’s organization Patanjali has stolen the word concept of their advertisement which was published in a daily newspaper. Yes, it’s true; Patanjali oil advertisement was published on the first page of the newspaper where they wrote-“Ei Podh Jodi Na Sesh Hoy”. They also published that two women cooked in their oil. Here Patanjali stressed on ‘Podh’ means recipe.

Five years ago, 6 Ballygunj Place Restaurant was published this same kind of advertisement with same tag line to pay tribute to Mahanayak Uttamkumar. They celebrated Uttam food festival and for this they used this advertisement ‘Ei Podh Jodi Na Sesh Hoy’. They used this tagline from evergreen movie Saptapadi.

6 Ballygunge Place’s ad was done by Debabrata Kar Biswas and art director was Sanjib Mondal. Debabrata babu said that it is very sorrowful incident. He also said totally copy of the ad is none other than is copy pest.
