Awareness Rally On Dengue At Bankura

Bankura: In an effort to spread awareness on diseases such as dengue, the Bankura
Sarengi Block Health department visited door-to-door to spread the message. Not
only that, but they also preached the message at every block.

Not only dengue, but they are also suggesting to undergo blood tests in case of any
type of fever. They have also asked those affected to go to the nearest heath care
for treatment. They have also said that, “not all fevers are dengue.” They have
requested people from not spreading rumours and unnecessarily creating panic among
people.

A rally to create awareness on dengue was also organised at the block with the
health department workers. It was attended by Sarenga block heath centre’s BMOH Dr.
B Swarup Sangiri, PHN Anima Mahanti, Asha superviser and other health department
workers.

The rally started from Sarenga block primary heath centre till Sarenga bazaar.
Programmes were done at some areas in the Sarenga bazaar. Leaflets were also
distributed.

The block health department believes that with this initiative, diseases such as
dengue, malaria will reduce.
