Kolkata: In an accident on Thursday, four were left injured after the wheel of a running auto opened in Salt Lake.
Three passengers including two children and the auto driver was injured in the incident. The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital. The police have seized the auto.
According to the police, the accident took place at 12:30 pm at Salt Lake’s GD island. The rear wheel of the Phoolbagan to Karunamoyee route auto, opened and hence, the auto turned upside-down. At that time, there were three passengers including two children. All were injured in the accident, including the auto driver. The police rescued and sent them to a local hospital.
There have been accusations of plying the autos as according to the driver’s wish, plying with loud music and many others.
Recently, defying rules, an auto enterred Ultadanga flyover and lost control and turned upside down. It led to the death of a passenger.
The Bidhannagar south police have seized the auto after Thursday’s incident.
