Australian tests positive for swine flu in city

Kolkata: An Australian tourist named K Martin lands herself in serious trouble on her visit to Kolkata. It is reported that she has been tested with swine flu. The H1N1 positive lady first sought the help from the Health Department of the State. But she was referred to the ID Hospital at Beliaghata. At present Martin is under treatment at the ID Hospital in Kolkata.

This is the ninth case of swine flu which has been recorded in the city. K Martin is the only foreigner who has been diagonised with this epidemic. K Martin had stated that one of the private hospitals of Kolkata refused to cater to this Australian lady. With the rise of the H1N1 virus in the city’s environment, the Kolkatans are taking up all sorts of precautionary measures to fight with the disease.
