Some associations to oppose the taxi strike on Jan 28


Kolkata: Five drivers of the Bengal Taxi Association is likely to oppose the taxi strike called by the AITUC on January 28. The General Secretary of the Bengal Taxi Association, Bimal Guha, has said that along with their association, the Calcutta Taxi Association, Progressive Taxi Men’s Association and the West Bengal Driver’s Association have taken up the path of protest to the strike. They feel that the AITUC can atleast take a step towards eliminating the difficulties faced by the passengers.

The associations have decided to take the streets of the city and have asked for help from the state government to avoid any unwanted situation caused by the pro-strike associations.
