Kolkata: Dastardly killing of innocents in Assam. Trinamool to hold protest rallies on Friday Nov 2 in all parts of Bengal. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee strongly condemned the killing of innocent people near Dhola in Tinsukia district by unidentified miscreants today evening.
Five persons were killed in Tinsukia district of Assam on Thursday evening when a group of unidentified assailants opened fire at a public place, police said. The assailants are believed to be members of the anti-talk faction of militant outfit ULFA, according to the police.

Taking strong note of the dastardly incident, the Chief Minister directed Water Resources Minister Keshav Mahanta and Minister of State (Power) Topon Kumar Gogoi to immediately proceed to the incident site to take stock of the situation. He also asked DGP Kula Saikia and ADGP Mukesh Agarwalla to rush to the site to tackle the situation.
