Ashok Hall prepares celebration in the tunes of ‘Do Re Mi’


Kolkata: Revisiting the childhood memories of growing up in the tunes of ‘Do-a-dear-a–female-dear’, Ashok Hall Group of Schools and the Austrian Embassy, New Delhi, is organising inter-school competitions, to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the five-time Academy Award winner ‘The Sound of Music’. The programme will bring out different aspects of the movie in an innovative manner.

18 schools across the city will participate in ‘The Edelweiss Festival’ at Kala Mandir during Tuesday, June 16 – Wednesday, June 17, 2015. The schools likely to participate in the fest are La Martiniere for Boys, St. James School, DPS Megacity, Lakshmipat Singhania Academy, Mahadevi Birla World Academy,etc.

There will be events like quiz, skit, PP presentation and many more. The events will be judged by eminent personalities of the city.

Mr. Bernhardh Wrabetz, Ambassador of Austria, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Mr. Michael Heinz, Counsellor (Cultural Affair), Director of the Austrian Cultural Forum, is scheduled to be present as the Guest of Honour.
