Birmingham: Defeating Australia by 8 wickets in the third test of the 2015 Ashes Test Series, England took a 2-1 lead in the series on Friday. The Aussies were packed off by Cook's men just within two and a half days' time. After the fiery spell of Steven Finn, Australia never seemed to come back in the match at any moment. Riding on the wave, England were set a humble target of just 112 runs in the fourth innings. Captain Cook's Men reached the feat just by losing two wickets and thereby took a 2-1 lead in the 5 match series. Ian Bell and Joe Root guided England to victory after losing the openers. Bell was not out on 65 and Root scored 38. Even though England one the first test at Cardiff, Aussies too the toast at Lords and levelled the series at 1-1.
