Armaan Kohli Booked For Assaulting

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli has been booked for assaulting live-in partner Neeru Randhawa at Mumbai’s Santacruz police station.

The two have been in a live-in relationship since 2015. They met through a common friend and soon started dating. According to reports, the couple had a fight over financial issues on Sunday and Mr Kohli, in a fit of anger, pushed Ms Randhawa down a flight of stairs.

Kohli’s live -in partner has alleged that Mr Kohli grabbed her hair and hit her head against the floor. Ms Randhawa has suffered head injuries and was hospitalised in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital.

A case has been registered under sections 323, 326, 504 and 506 and the police is on a look out for Mr Kohli for further investigation.

Armaan Kohli was launched by his father and veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli in Virodhi (1992). He went on to do forgettable films and took another shot with Jaani Dushman (2002) and LOC: Kargil (2003). He then vanished from the scene only to resurface in Salman Khan’s TV show Big Boss.

She said that the assault started as they were talking on the topic of Armaan’s villa in Goa which she manages. A client had made the payment of Rs 63,000 to the villa staff. Armaan asked me about the money, she told him that she will ask the staff to transfer the amount to him. To this, he became angry and started physically assaulting me.

According to Neeru, after the physical assault incident hit the limelight, Armaan was ready to get married to her. She also says that this is not the first Armaan had hit her.

September last year, she left him and went to Dubai but he asked her to come back.
After being discharged from the hospital today, Neeru Randhawa told ANI, “It was beyond my limit to tolerate. He beat me and hit my head very badly.”Ms Randhawa further said that Armaan Kohli threatened her to not go in public. “Everyone knows what kind of person he is. I am not afraid of anyone now.”
