Archie illustrator Tom Moore dies at 86


Texas: Most of us have grown up reading the comics of Archie. It formed an indispensable part of our junior school. Tom Moore, the ‘cartoonist who had given life to the freckled-face, red-haired character, has died in Texas in USA.

Moore had started drawing cartoons which he was in the US Navy during the Korean war died on Monday morning in his hometown of El Paso according to his son Lito-Bujanda-Moore.

He said that his father was diagonised with throat cancer and he chose not to undergo treatment.

Moore drew Archie Andrews and his friends from 1953 with the annual sale of the comic surpassing half a million during the 1960s.
