Apple May Not Bring USB Type C After All


California: As Apple’s launch date draws near, there has been a spurt in information for the latest iPhone to be. A research note by analyst Timothy Arcuri from Cowen and Company, obtained by MacRumors, sheds light on memory capacity on upcoming iPhones.

According to the analyst, all three iPhones which are going to be announced this year will feature 3GB of RAM, same as last year models. This may mean Apple is focusing on design features and other specs to make the smartphones appealing.

Moreover, the upcoming 4.7-inch iPhone 7s and the 5.5-inch iPhone 7s Plus are slated to contain similar storage configuration as last year’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, respectively 32/64/128GB. The 5.8-inch iPhone 8 could come with 64GB or 256GB of internal storage.

The new 5.8-inch model is also slated to be loaded with two batteries. The research note also corroborates previous predictions of Lightning connectors with USB-Type C power delivery for faster charging on all three iPhones.

The anniversary iPhone 8 is touted to stand out with its OLED screen and smoother edge-to-edge display, combined with wireless charging and 3D sensors for facial recognition.
