Kanpur: Coach for Team India, Anil Kumble has everything going in the very direction he wants his team to go. First came the win in the Carribean and now, under his tutelage, India won their 500th Test match, beating New Zealand by massive 197 runs on Monday.
We assume that this is reason enough for the former leg-spinner to forget about of his sunglasses and cap being stolen at the stadium. According to a report, Kumble was part of the special felicitation ceremony organised by BCCI to honour the former captains of Team India at the background of 500th Test. He was called on a stage to be presented with a memento and a shawl by UP governor Ram Naik and BCCI chief Anurag Thakur.
Kumble left his shades and cap behind where he was sitting. By the time he returned to his seat, his paraphernalia was gone. This is the second time something of the sort has happened to the coach.
While on the tour of West Indies, Kumble’s kit was left behind at the London airport because of a faux pas by the airline authorities who forgot to move his luggage to the connecting flight.
