Kolkata: BJP president Amit Shah is likely to visit West Bengal next month in two stages to expand the party’s base in the state ahead of the Panchayat polls. The The BJP Chief is coming to Kolkata on 8th and 9th April and another schedule is 19th and 20th April.
State BJP on Saturday held a core committee meeting. They discussed of Amit Shah’s Bengal visit in this meeting. BJP state president Dilip Ghosh and general secretary Rahul Sinha both are said that ‘State BJP already held meetings to fix the primary tactics of Panchayat elections.’
After talking to Amit Shah, state BJP will announce Shah’s final visit schedule. His visit will be very important for state BJP ahead of the pancahayat polls. If Shah’s trip end so early, then State BJP can not utilise his benefits before elections.
According to State BJP sources, the notification of Panchayat elections is not completed. If all four meetings will be held in April, then his next tour can not be fixed at the end of May or at the beginning of June.
State president Dilip Ghosh said to Kolkata24x7 that ‘the public meeting of Amit shah will be held at North and South Bengal.’ The party leaders demands that Amit shah should do a public meeting in Birbhum which is moral booster for party members.
