Kolkata: As BJP is focussing West Bengal in the upcoming 2019 general elections, BJP national president Amit Shah will address a rally of the party’s youth wing here on August 3. Shah’s visit, is an early foray to set the stage for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections campaign.
Shah’s visit to West Bengal is significant as it comes after the party’s improved performance in the panchayat polls. It is the second visit by the BJP national president to Bengal within two months. Earlier Amit Shah had visited Purulia’s Balrampur area
According to State BJP party sources, Shah will reach Kolkata on August 2 evening and hold organisational meetings at the Calcutta Port Trust guest house at night.
