Amidst Bomb Threat, Jet Makes Emergency Landing


Update: No bomb found on Jet Airways plane, aircraft to take off from Muscat at 9pm on Thursday.

Muskat: A Jet Airways plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Muskat airport in Oman after a mid-air bomb alert was sounded on Thursday.

The Dubai bound Jet Airways flight 9W 536 took off from Mumbai around 12:20 pm on Thursday. All 54 passengers and 7 crew members have been successfully deboarded at Muskat International airport. The airport has been closed after the bomb threat.

The plane has been kept in an isolated bay where bomb squad is searching the plane. Oman airport official said that the situation is under control.

A Jet Airways flight made an emergency landing at Delhi airport after a bomb alert on Tuesday, which later turned to be a hoax.
