Family Feud Gives Amar Singh Oxygen Again


Lucknow: Amar Singh is appointed as the National General Secretary of Samajwadi Party by party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday.
“You have been appointed general secretary of Samajwadi Party. I hope in the coming days you will strengthen the party in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections,” Mulayam said in a handwritten letter to Amar.
This comes as a big blow to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. Akhilesh had deprived uncle Shivpal Yadav of key ministries, alleging outsiders like Amar Singh of creating the family feud.
This weekend, Mulayam Singh negotiated thereby reinstating Shivpal in most of the ministries he had lost.
Amar Singh, who was expelled from the party for six years and returned only recently.He is expected to play a key role in upcoming UP Assembly Polls.
