Rs 1 Cr Extortion Allegation Against Bidhannagar Mayor

Kolkata: An allegation has been raised against Bidhannagar Mayor Sabyasachi Dutta claiming extortion for Tripura election. A business man named Madhusudhan Chakrabarty has filed a complaint at Bidhannagar police station on Tuesday against Dutta claiming that rupees one crore was allegedly demanded by the Mayor of Bidhannagar.

The businessman claims that Bidhannagar Mayor Sabyasachi Dutta who also happens to be TMC MLA from Rajarhat had allegedly demanded the money for the purpose of Tripura assembly election. The victim also shared a video where a person on the behest of the Mayor was counting two lakhs thirty thousand which was paid by Madhusudhan. He also lodged complain with Bidhannagar commissionarate and wrote to CMO.

In a press conference at Kolkata Press Club, he also released a video showing the money dealing between them, he also claimed that as of now he has given two lakhs thirty thousand rupees to the Mayor of Bidhannagar. But now he has come to take help of the administration when the demand of money gradually began to increase from Dutta’s side, so he disclosed the matter to all.

While speaking to Kolkata24x7 Mayor Sabyasachi Dutta says, “If there is any documents against me then go to the police station along with them, and let police arrest me.”
