Alipurduar is another north-eastern parliamentary constituency of West Bengal which will go to polls in the first phase of general elections on April 11.The primary electoral contest for the reserved seat for Scheduled Tribe (ST) is between the All India Trinamool Congress, Left Front, Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress. Though several other regional parties would also contest for the seat.

Political Career : From 2001 to 2014, He selected MLA on RSP ticket at the Kumargram assembly. In 2014, he left the RSP and joined the Trinamool Congress. He was elected MP on TMC ticket in the Alipurduar Lok Sabha constituency.

Hobbies: Like indigenous songs

Name of wife: Chandrakala Tirkey

First win: Finish the stalled projects fiest. More attention to the protection of tea-garden workers.

2. Mili Oraon

Team: RSP

Age: 42 years

Occupation: Housewife

Education: MA in History from North Bengal University

Political Career : The daughter of a political family. RSP leader and Four-time legislator of Kalchini assembly constituency Manohar Tirkey. He was also a Minister in the Left Government. Manohar Babu became MP from Alipurduar in 2009.

Hobbies: Watching movies

The first thing after win: Talking to people in the area and will decide which problems will be solved.

3. Mohanlal Basumata

Education: In 1997, BSC passed from North Bengal University.

Political Career: He involved in politics since the age of 18.

Occupation: Tea-garden workers

Political Career: Associated with Bikash council since 2007.
