Al-Qaeda Spreading Terror Tentacles in India, Operatives Nabbed


Update: Delhi police made another arrest of a suspected Al-Qaeda activist from Cuttack in Odisha. A total of Three arrest has been made so far.

New Delhi: Two suspected al-Qaeda terrorists arrested from Paschimakachha village under Jagatpur police station in Cuttack district on Wednesday by joint team of Delhi and Odisha police.

The Commissionerate Police along with a special team of the Delhi Police nabbed Abdul Rehman (49), a resident of Jagatpur, and Md Ashif for their alleged link with Pakistani terrorist outfit al-Qaeda.

The Delhi Police was reportedly tracking cell phones since September 2014. The accused would be taken to New Delhi after being produced in a the court here.

According to sources, a the security forces led by Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Commissioner of Police Dr RP Sharma, Bhubaneswar DCP Satyabrata Bhoi, Cuttack DCP Sanjeev Arora and almost all the IICs of the Commissionerate

Police along with the Delhi Police sleuths raided the house of Rehman late on Tuesday night. Meanwhile, police is interrogating the suspected terrorist in an unknown place.
