New Delhi: Air India call centre received a hijack threat call on Friday. The caller claimed to be an ISI member and threatened that an Air India flight will be hijacked on Nov 28.
The call has put the CISF security personnel on high alert as it comes in the wake of Paris attacks and at a time when security concerns have gripped the global airline industry.
“The caller identified himself as an ISI member and said a flight will be hijacked on November 28,” said an AI spokesperson.
“All the precautionary measures have been put in place,” the official said adding that the standard operating procedure, put in place for such threats, has been followed. The airline also filed a police case at Shrinagar police station in Thane, where the airline call centre is located.
