Ahead Of Republic Day, Red Alert Sounded In Malda


Malda: Ahead of republic day, the central detective agency have alerted the Border Security Force (BSF) and the district police administration. According to the report, terrorist agencies have crossed the border and have planned terrorist activities in our country. As a result, the BSF and police are now on alert.

More number of BSF Jawans have been deployed in the border area and the are keeping a strict vigil in and around the areas. A red alert has been sounded too.

Apart from the border area, security has also been heightened at NH 34 and the railway lines. Surveillance is underway in the adjoining villages too. The locals have been informed to report any suspicious activity in the area, to the local police administration. Malda consists of 178km of Indo-Bangladesh border out of which 50 km of area is without any fencing. This is the area which the BSF is concerned about before the republic day.

According to the BSF, in every BOP, there is deployed one deputy commandment and officer apart from the BSF Jawans. Surveillance will be done through cycles and speed boats in the water bodies. Already, checking at several places of Malda have begun.

According to BSF’s number 24 battalion’s commandment Anil Kumar Hotkar said, “We are alert 24 hours to give security. Hence, we are requesting the villagers to immediately inform us if they see anything suspicious. We will take action immediately”
