New Delhi: In an interesting development within DRDO, the Project Director of the nuclear capable Agni-V missile programme, R K Gupta has been shifted out. Although the DRDO is calling it a routine transfer, there is a voice of dissent from RK Gupta, the former Director.
Gupta has alleged that he was targeted by two senior officials including former chief Avinash Chandar who was also moved from his post on January 31.
Gupta has complained to the Ministry that he received a letter dated January 9 only on February 2 after he reached his office following the successful launch of nuclear capable Agni-V missile. He alleged that in a letter to Defense Secretary RK Mathur, who also holds the additional charge of DRDO.
