After Tomar, Kejri’s Surender in ‘Fake Degree’ Row

New Delhi: Trouble seemed brewing for AAP government in Delhi again. After Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar was arrested on Tuesday over allegations of faking his law degree, another AAP MLA Surender Singh has tasted the acid.

Almost three weeks ago, the Delhi High Court had issued notices to its legislator Surender Singh on a petition filed by BJP leader Karan Singh Tanwar.

Tanwar has alleged that Singh gave false information with regard to his educational qualification in the election affidavit.

Singh is the second AAP MLA after Delhi law minister Jitender Singh Tomar, who is facing similar allegations over his educational qualification. The plea against Tomar was filed by another BJP leader, Nand Kishore Garg, who is seeking his disqualification as MLA.

Now, after the arrest of Tomar, Surender’s fake certificate issue boils again. Though some news sources claimed that Surender’s fake certificate issued from some Kolkata based college, HC’s notice mentioned some Sikkim based college’s name. It is to be noted that Surender Singh is a NSG veteran.

Earlier on Tuesday Delhi Law Minister Jitendra Singh Tomar resigned from his post after he was remaded to plice custody for four days. As per reports Kapil Misha has been appointed as the new Law Minister of Delhi.
